That’s right, no catching, no countering, no throwing, no Balltimate, and no healing. It’s just jumping around in a frantic effort to try and save poor Otto’s life as the difficulty gradually ramps up. Here’s how to survive the impossible and come away with an S-Rank in Dodgeball Academia’s dodging challenge.
“Cheating”
Menu > Settings > Accessiblity Settings > Difficulty Settings Set Damage Taken to 0%
This is only being mentioned because it wouldn’t be a complete guide without it. It’s highly encouraged to try and win this challenge as it is to feel the glory of victory achieved through raw talent and strategy. But sometimes players will want to beat this in the same way they beat Boris for the first time.

By setting damage taken to 0%, players won’t take any damage when getting hit by a ball. Instead, the biggest challenge will be remembering to turn the difficulty back to normal after surviving for one minute, or else the challenge won’t ever end.
Best Equipment
Iron Helmet Cursed Armor Over-The-Top Armor Golden Bandana
Equipment gets a bit unorthodox since items that are usually considered the best in the game don’t make much sense in a match where the only thing to do is run around and jump. As a result, some of the worst items of all find some use in the dodging challenge.

Defense decreases the amount of damage the balls do on each hit, so armor and helmets are life-savers. For those who haven’t maxed out their health, the Golden Bandana adds 30% to the pool, also enabling the player to take more damage before going down.
Circle The Arena And Stay Away From The Throwers
Every teammate has their uses, but players can be grateful that it’s Otto doing the challenges. He’s got a jump and that enables him to spend a good chunk of time in the complete safety of the air. He can help himself further by moving in a pattern.
By staying on the perimeter and moving either clockwise or counter-clockwise, gamers maximize their odds of survival by forcing balls to miss both horizontally and vertically. It might take a few attempts, but players get unlimited chances and only need to win once. Good luck!
Dodgeball Academia was released on August 5th, 2021, and is available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
