That being said, there is more to this challenge than just “time the counters better.” Dodgeball Academia is a complex game and there are lots of statistics at play behind the scenes. With the right amount of preparation, pressing one button at the right time will be as easy as it actually sounds.
“Cheating”

Look, this isn’t the honorable way to take on this challenge, but if the only thing players are interested in is getting the challenge done without feeling the accomplishment that comes with it, feel free to go in and ease things up to the point where it is impossible to fail.

This is a strategy commonly employed to beat Boris when first meeting him. Just remember to change the difficulty back up, otherwise the player can’t ever lose and Otto will be stuck taking damage-less balls to the skull for all of eternity.
Best Equipment
Near-Sighted Reading Glasses Cursed Armor Over-The-Top Armor Iron Helmet Golden Bandana
Making a tier list for the items in this game goes right out of the window when doing any of the challenges. In this case, gamers are completely stuck in place and can only use the catching button, so most of the usually great items are of no use.

However, any item that boosts defense and health will be welcome. It’s fun to pretend that Otto can catch every single ball with ease, but there are bound to be mistakes. On harder difficulties, this usually results in getting hit with several balls before recovering, so a focus on survival is mandatory.
Counting The Number Of Loops
Winning this challenge isn’t just about getting max stats or using the best gear. It’s all about timing. On most balls, it’s just as simple as clicking the catch button at the correct time. But there is one ball that throws off the entire flow of the routine: the loopy ball.
The trick is to count the number of loops based on where the ball was thrown from. If it was released by midcourt, there will only be one loop. Closer to the corners, there will be two loops. And from the left and right sides, there will be three full loops. Don’t counter too early!
Dodgeball Academia was released on August 5th, 2021, and is available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
