Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opened in theaters back in early May, earning nearly a billion dollars from the worldwide box office since then, proving the MCU hadn’t lost its touch after the relatively disappointing performance of previous Marvel Studios movies in 2021. The Doctor Strange sequel also provided fans with crossover potential, unlike the character’s first film, and it looks like LEGO took inspiration from that to create this new set to commemorate the film’s release.

In this case, LEGO’s brand-new Sanctum Sanctorum, coming out on August 1, features a staggering 2708 pieces, making the biggest iteration of the sacred site when it comes to Doctor Strange sets. However, MCU fans will find this multiversal build covers much more than the latest film’s plot. Also packed in the Sanctum Sanctorum are a total of nine Minifigures, including not only Doctor Strange, Wong, Sinister Strange, Dead Strange, Scarlet Witch and Mordo, but also Iron Man, Thanos’ adoptive son Ebony Maw, and even Spider-Man, meaning the set also works as an Avengers: Infinity War or No Way Home tribute.

The set measures over 12.5 inches (32cm) in height, 12.5 in. wide, and 10.5 in. deep, and it will retail for a price of $249.99. This makes it a costly but still attainable acquisition for any fans of the good old sorcerer Doctor when compared to LEGO’s most ambitious creations. As both Doctor Strange and Thor take on bigger roles in the MCU, it’s likely these two characters will keep on getting more impressive LEGO sets in the long run.

Some fans might be disappointed to find out this is one of the few Doctor Strange LEGO sets coming out recently, as the only other bundle catering to the Multiverse of Madness happens to be a smaller box containing Gargantos and America Chavez, as well as the two sorcerers. Anyone looking for an Illuminati set will have to keep looking, as Marvel or LEGO don’t appear to hold the epic X-Men and Fantastic Four cameos from the film in very high regard.

Funnily enough, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness became widely available on Disney Plus starting June 22. That said, with the added competition of both Ms. Marvel and the Obi-Wan Kenobi finale, perhaps it won’t get as much attention initially.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now streaming on Disney Plus.
